Future Fanatic GO REDBLACKS GO!!!

The Ottawa REDBLACKS

Get your jerseys, face paint and pom poms out, there's a new football team in town! Are you ready to show your team spirit? We sure are!!

Mom on the go was asked to participate in "The Future Fanatics Campaign" and asked us how we were raising our daughter to love our favorite teams. We are HUGE Ottawa Senator fans and I can always remember watching hockey with my dad as a kid and just loved the idea of cheering on "MY" team, I would get so excited when they scored, it was like I was on the team myself. Well now we will have not only hockey but football too!! This will be the third CFL team to play in the city. The Ottawa Rough Riders, played until 1996, and the "Renegades" started in 2002, until the end of the 2005 season, but hey, third times a charm right!?! I am so excited to teach my daughter the importance of being a team player and being a good winner and loser. I can't wait until she too can feel that comradery when "your" team scores. Ottawa has always had a "community" feel and this will just be yet another event to bring us all together!

The Ottawa REDBLACKS, a new CFL expansion team, will start their official 2014 season on July 18th. The stadium at TD Place has now been renovated into a 24,000-seat venue. And what a venue it is, highlights include an unique new south stand superstructure, a completely refurbished north stand, an all-new playing surface with new high tech scoreboards and in-stadium services. And while you are at the game don't forget to watch for the new mascot Big Joe the lumberjack and the amazing REDBLACKS Cheer Team.
