The International Competition Pow Wow attracts hundreds of singers and dancers from across North America for a vibrant and lively display of our living culture. Visit the Family Fun Zone with Pan Am Games themed activities for the kids including Jumpaï – Bunjee Trampoline and inflatables galore, Bubble Soccer, Hoop Head- a strolling stilt walking basketball comedian, “Endangered Ontario” Show with Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo, and much, much more! Catch non-stop cultural programming, Engaging main stage live performances, theater, cultural presentations with artists such as DJ Shub (formally of Tribe Called Red), Nelson Tagoona, Kahawi Native Dance, Hypnotist, Scott Ward and many more! Come check out the return to the much loved community program Aboriginal Canada “We Got Talent” Contest! Participate in cultural workshops and interactive arts and crafts with artists; Simon Brascoupe, Rick Hill (cradle board maker), Elizabeth Doxator (cornhusk dolls), and Tom Hill (lacrosse stick maker). Shop the Aboriginal marketplace featuring art, food and fashions from across Canada.
Little Rays Endangered Ontario
This hour long demonstration includes 8-10 animals that are found throughout Ontario that are threatened or endangered including reptiles, amphibians, mammals and birds of prey.
Traditional Games and Ancient Lacrosse
Ongoing traditional games & ancient lacrosse re-enactments & trial, Metis voyageur games, Inuit high kick games and interactive craft demonstrations (creating corn husk dolls, lacrosse sticks, baskets and more)
