Foodies rejoice! Get a taste of true eastern cuisine from traditional Chinese food and Vietnamese dishes to Bubble tea and Asian wine, beer and spirits. Also traditional Chinese New Year snacks that only come around once a year. Our vendor list includes New Mee Fung Restaurant, Kanata Noodle House, My Sweet Tea, Green Papaya and many more!

We've brought some of the most talented musicians and acts to help you get into the holiday spirit. This event will be MC'd by popular Toronto radio personalities Simon Lau and Anson Wong. Also making an appearance is talented Toronto band Sonic Fire and award winning singer Jane Lu. If you'd like to experience more traditional Chinese music, Guqin player Cindy Zichan Yang and harpist Teresa Suen-Campbell are well worth the price of admission.

No Chinese New Years event would be complete without the famous Lion Dance, a tradition that has been around for hundreds of years. Originally performed to ward off the "Nian" or "bad spirits", it is believed to bring good luck for the new year. Bring your camera because it is a wildly colourful cultural experience.

EY Centre
Why celebrate the new year outside in the frigid Ottawa winter weather? The spectacular EY Centre is the perfect venue and has been home to many of Ottawa's best trade shows, concerts and events. Come and celebrate the Chinese New Year the way it was meant to be celebrated - without toques, mitts and long Johns.

Ottawa's top bridal salon, White Satin will be putting together a fashion show that features both traditional and modern Asian clothing. Made possible by Otto's BMW & Subaru, this could very well be the highlight of the event.

CIBC and Ottawa Asian fest is committed to bringing you the best in Asian culture, food and fun! So come out and support the local Ottawa community and enjoy this Chinese New Years event at the EY Centre. February 8th, 2015. Tickets are already selling fast so DO NOT miss out!
