Perseids Meteor Shower – Movie Night and Stargazing

We encourage you to register online to help the Museum anticipate attendance, however reservations for this event are not required.

Movie Night

Relax at this outdoor movie night while keeping an eye out for shooting stars (bring a lawn chair).

We will be watching “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” (2005). MPAA rating: PG. The film will be presented in English with French subtitles.

In case of rain, the movie will be shown in the Museum’s auditorium.

Stargazing

Stargazers of all ages enjoy an evening of astronomy at the Museum’s Helen Sawyer Hogg Observatory. Weather permitting, visitors can look through the historic 15-inch telescope at the stars, the planets, and the Moon.

This program is free with donation. Your generosity helps the Museum maintain theHelen Sawyer Hogg Observatory and the astronomy programs.
