Glengarry Highland Games 

August 1-2nd in the Maxville Fairgrounds (34 Fair St.)

Maxville, Ontario is a short hour east of Ottawa just off Highway 417, thirty minutes north of the Canada/US border crossing at Cornwall. Tickets are $20 at the gate and kids under 12 are free! The event is rain or shine.

There are so many great events at the Games aimed to please any Celtic fan. Some people come for the music, some for the fiddle, some for the dance and others to watch the heavyweight events. Of course, we can’t forget the pipes, the main attraction for many at the Games. Added to these events, the Games provide one of the best outdoor summer concerts at our Friday night Tattoo, and the unforgettable performance of the largest Massed Pipped Bands in North America at Saturday night’s closing. If you haven't seen this before, be prepared, it is incredibly moving. 

Fitting in with all of these events are two full days of the best in celtic entertainment and many special events ranging from military tug-of-wars to sheep dog demonstrations to Scotch tasting, heavyweights, scottish dancing and more. For a schedule click HERE
