Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light Fireworks

Countries from around the world will take the stage to compete for the Zeus Trophy and put on the best fireworks show in the area. These are not to be missed. Fireworks start at 9pm. 



You can watch the fireworks for free from Parliament Hill, Alexander Island, Victoria Island and many great little nearby parks in Ottawa. You can also join the event at the Museum of History.

Join us in the backyard of the Canadian Museum of History, ticket holders will gather with their chairs and blankets while waiting for the Sound of Light’s incredible fireworks shows to be presented by some of the best pyrotechnical companies in the world. Site officially opens at 6 PM.


  • NEW! GLADIUS GAME ZONE-Because games are perfect for summer evenings, kids of all ages are invited under the Museum’s outer dome to try our selection of games. Come spend quality time together by playing or drawing before the fireworks.
  • NEW! GOODIES FROM OUR FOOD TRUCKS! The Sound of Light team, in collaboration with Distinction by Sodexo and the Quebec Street Food Association, is proud to introduce a new food offer by bringing high quality food trucks on its site. 
  • SHOWS PRESENTED ON THE TIM HORTONS STAGE To help you enjoy your evening or to get you in the mood for a wonderful show, arrive early to find the best available spot in the Museum’s park before stopping over at the Tim Hortons Stage to enjoy the different show presented by up and coming local artists and our street performers, as well as our international rhythms as presented by our dance troupe and bands each night of the event.
