Father's Day Events 2014





  • Father’s Day BBQ at Fairfield's Heritage House – Sunday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For a low-key and relaxing approach to Father’s Day, visit us to learn about the impressive accomplishments of the Bell family men – from agriculture to recreation to politics - and then spend some time on our lawn playing horseshoes and lawn bowling before grabbing a bite to eat at our BBQ!
    Cost: $6/person, $10/pair, $16/family
  • Celebrating Dad on Father’s Day – Sunday, June 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nepean Museum. Earn a special honour badge with Dad by signing up for our scavenger hunt through our community service vehicles! Get up close and personal with an antique police car, an ambulance, and a fire truck that will be on site just to help celebrate the day. Make sure to check out our artefact display that showcases the history of community services and their importance to the area!
    Cost: $6/person, $10/pair, $16/family.
  • Bring Dad to the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum for the day! Meet the farm dads and learn why these animals are special not just on Father’s Day, but all year round. Sunday June 15th 9:30-4.
  • Pinhey’s Point Historic Site 270 Pinhey's Point Rd, Dunrobin.Sunday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.Spend some time with Dad on Father’s Day while learning from traditional craftspeople demonstrating blacksmithing, woodworking, and more. You’ll come away amazed at the talent, skill, and years of practice it takes to perfect their trades! Pack a lunch or enjoy the on-site food services. Cost: $6/person, $10/pair, $16/family
  • Enjoy free family fun this Father’s Day at the Goulbourn Museum’s Homegrown Heroes event – a look back at the First and Second World Wars. Challenge dad in the military obstacle course, send messages in Morse Code, pose for old-fashioned photos, enjoy historical demonstrations, games and more! The fun takes place Sunday, June 15th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Goulbourn Museum is located at 2064 Huntley Road.


  • The Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum and a large group of Ottawa based businesses invite you for the first annual OPERATION FATHER’S DAY event; a fundraising initiative for the Museum and The Guild of the Royal Canadian Dragoons. This will be a unique and engaging event like no other in the National Capital Region.June 14, 2014 10am-5pm – Rain or shine. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: Cold beer and delicious foods by local businesses, A Kiddy Commando Training Course with prizes, A Candy Shop featuring retro treats from the 1950’s, Commemorative family photo opportunities, VIP tours of the Diefenbunker including the Cafeteria, the War Cabinet, the Bank of Canada Vault and more – 100,000 sq ft to be discovered!
  • Father's Day, June 15, 2014. This Father’s Day, join the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation for the 16th annual ULTIMATE RUN for Men’s Cancers presented by Raymond James and help raise important funding to improve local cancer care and treatment.This year funds raised at the ULTIMATE RUN will support ground-breaking cancer research, innovative clinical trials and the new Cancer Coaching health service developed by the Cancer Foundation.This Father’s Day – Sunday, June 15th – join the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation at the 2014 ULTMATE RUN and help spread the word about prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer – and ensure the men in your life get checked and stay in it for the long run.
  • Father’s Day – Sunday, June 15 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cumberland Heritage MuseumThe family that plays together stays together! Show Dad how much he means to you by taking a break at the museum and indulging in some vintage pastimes – making your own fishing rod, playing mini-putt on the Village Green, or seeing who can win on our life-size vintage-inspired Sorry! game and our super-size Chinese checkers.
  • The Lebanese Kataeb – Ottawa Chapter cordially invites you to their annual Father ‘s Day B.B.Q. Sunday June 15, 2014 at 1:00pm. Vincent Massey Park – Sections B & C. All proceeds go to CHEO.

  • Father's Day Luncheon Cruise.June 15, 2014. This is your chance to get the family together with that “Special Person” and journey to the 1000 Islands Region and Kingston’s Port of Call.   • Ferrari Festival-Every Festival Sunday generous Ferrari owners volunteer their time – and cars – to take passengers on an unforgettable drive down Preston Street and scenic Queen Elizabeth Parkway.  All ticket sales go to benefit Villa Marconi, one of Ottawa’s premiere long-term care facilities.  This is your opportunity to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience, while also supporting a truly worthwhile cause!
