Feel free to drop by the church building any time between 1-10pm on Saturday April 5th to join the world wide celebration of board games. We have games for young and old, bring your kids, bring your parents but please, leave your dog at home. We do ask that children under 14 be accompanied by an adult. Bring the game you got for Christmas that you are dying to play, we’re bringing our collections too, so there will be lots of selection; everything from Catan to Power Grid, Pitch Car to Carcassonne.
We’ll put on the coffee, bring a snack, or your supper and join us for as little or as long as you like.
We look forward to seeing you there!

4.Playtime Games is holding an International Tabletop Games Day t!
Located in Ottawa’s west end at 225 McClellan Road (Arlington Woods Church), it will run from 11am to 6pm on Saturday April 5th. There will be games for all ages, and popcorn!
There is a $2 fee for adults to cover the cost of the room. Kids 10 and under are free with an adult (max. 2 kids per adult). Drinks and snacks will be on hand at very reasonable prices.
The store games library will be available for you to try out games. You can bring your favorite games, your favorite gamers, and your favorite snacks.
Playtime Games will be selling games on site as well. We accept cash, credit card, or Paypal as payment. Also, if you pre-order games that are in stock, we will have them at the event for easy pickup!
Spot prizes will be handed out to game winners throughout the day, and pictures of winners with our cheesy trophy will be available as well. Plus awards for Winningest Winner, being Wil Wheaton, People’s Choice, and the Kids Award will be handed out!

The first Playtime Games X-wing tournament will be featured at this event! This one time only we are straying from a few official tournament rules to encourage new players to try it out. Main rules are: First 16 entrants get a free bonus! 60 minute matches, pre-set 54 pt. squads for streamlined easy matches. 1 game of each faction in the first round. Best records move on to round 2, and the top two move on to the finals. Bring your core set to guarantee a spot. $2 entrance gets you a chance at bragging rights, a chance at the phat loot (winner and runner up get prizes!), plus the winner will become a decorated X-wing officer!
If you can come early to help set up, or if you can GM some games please let us know – it will be appreciated!
UPDATE: We will need to wrap up a bit early as we have to be out of the facility at 6pm on the nose.
