The Ottawa Irish Festival, organized by The Irish Society of the National Capital Region, is held annually in mid – March to promote our Irish and Irish-Canadian heritage and culture. The Festival celebrates traditional and contemporary Irish culture in the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, March 17. Weather you are Irish or not, there is something fun for everyone.
Highlights
- 32nd annual St. Patrick’s Parade
- Saturday March 15 – 32nd Annual St. Patrick’s Parade11:00 am Parade route: Laurier Avenue West, to Bank St., to Wellington St., west to area near Library & Archives Canada building. Ottawa Food Bank volunteers will be collecting non - perishable and cash donations along the Parade route.
- Parade Party at Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts
- 12:00 Noon to 4:00 pm
St. Brigid's Centre for the Arts
Cumberland & St. Patrick Streets.Featuring Irish musicians, dancers and singers. Food & beverage service.Entry fees: Adults (age 20 & over) $10:00; Teens (13 - 19 years) $5:00; Children (to age 12) Free.
- Annual St. Patrick’s Day Lunch and Evening Celebration
- Live Celtic Music & Breakfast
- St. Pat’s SoirĂ©e featuring a gourmet dinner, auctions, casino and entertainment
- Erin Lunch with fiddlers, step-dancing and Irish stew
- Celebration mass for St. Patrick at St. Patrick’s Basilica and St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon March 17th
