Earth Hour 2014-March 29

Earth Hour Events Ottawa-

Earth Hour takes place 830-930pm (local time) on March 29th. Join millions of people who will turn off their lights for one hour to raise awareness for the planet.

  1. The Green party is hosting a candlelight vigil on Parliament Hill for Earth Hour again this year - this is becoming quite the tradition! Lights out at 8:30 so arrive a bit early. They are handing out beeswax candles on a first-come first-candled basis.
  2. Stargazers of all ages enjoy an evening of astronomy at the Science and Technology Museum’s Helen Sawyer Hogg Observatory. Weather permitting, visitors can look through the historic 15-inch telescope at the stars, the planets, and the Moon. Dress warmly, event takes place outside. This event is free with donation. For more info: http://www.sciencetech.technomuses.ca/english/whatson/index.cfm
