McCreary's Beach Resort Review

I recently spent a sunny fun filled day at McCreary's Beach resort in Perth. For a short 45 minute drive from Ottawa, you can step out into one of the most beautiful beaches and lakes around (Mississippi Lake). For $10 a person or $25 for a carload of up to 5 people, you can lounge on the beach, enjoy their beautiful pool and hot tub,fishing, tennis court, grab a few snacks, (Slushies, ice cream, chips, milkshakes etc.) and most importantly, relax and enjoy the view!

The kids spent most of the day hunting for minnows, swimming out to the raft and jumping off and playing in the sand. The resort also provides and array of sand toys and has a huge playground right on the beach. If you plan on spending the day, be sure to pack a lunch as there is no restaurant to buy food.

McCreary's also rents out cottages by the weekend or week or better yet own your own. Great Blue Resorts properties are maintenance-free. "The annual resort management fee covers all the typical costs of a cottage including all utilities, land tax, grounds maintenance, garbage collection, security and on-site management." There is also private parking, family entertainment such as fireworks and daily activities and the kids’ club. Cottage life made easy for busy families. What an amazing day trip we had and the kids have already asked to go back. Clean resort, friendly staff, and lots to do to keep the little ones occupied, why wouldn't I return?
