Doors Open Ottawa

Doors Open Ottawa
The City of Ottawa is proud to present Doors Open Ottawa, a free annual event that celebrates our community’s built heritage. On June 7 and 8, 2014, witness over 120 of the city’s historically, culturally, and functionally significant buildings open their doors for the public’s viewing pleasure.
Since its inception in 2002, over 700,000 visitors have discovered some of the city’s most prestigious buildings during Ottawa’s largest architectural event, including Rideau Hall, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Canada, the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat, and the Royal Canadian Mint...just to name a few.
Walk, drive, cycle, or ride your way around the city. Look for the free Ottawa Citizen - Doors Open Ottawa Shuttle Bus that will be operating within walking distance of nearly 50 participating buildings, or take the Doors Open Ottawa Embassy Tour (fees apply) offered by Ottawa Cycling Tours…a tour not to be missed! Come join us June 7 and 8 for Doors Open Ottawa 2014, and pay homage to Ottawa’s history, culture, and stunning architecture. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s the perfect way to experience how Canada’s Capital has become the beautiful city it is today.
