Come celebrate with us as spring begins to blossom! Our Hop takes delight in the end of winter and the renewal of spring while encouraging families to take part in our modern twists on what life on a farm was like in the 19th century. After checking out the petting zoo, starting seeds for the garden, making sock bunnies, and taking a turn with our balloon artist (balloon rabbits and chicks!), make sure to check out the information hidden in our giant carrots.
You’ll experience the many aspects of spring renewal that are unique and integral to a rural Ontario property in the 19th and 20thcenturies. Activities will promote learning about the agricultural significance of the season, the tasks needed to run a working farm in the settler period, and the animals that have been part of the estate over the past 200 years.
