What is the Zipadee-Zip?

Well it is a "star-shaped pointed sleeve wearable blanket.

Why is it different from other wearable sleeveless blankets? 

 "The slight resistance in the wing-span allows a baby to move around freely while still providing the enclosed, cozy sensation babies enjoy so much in the swaddle and the womb.  The ‘Moro’ or startle reflex is what prevents a baby from sleeping soundly and jolts a baby awake suddenly. The reason babies are startled is because they wake up and can’t feel their edges like they were able to in the womb. The Zipadee-Zip provides those ‘edges’ or that womb like environment while still providing them the freedom to roll around and use their arms and hands safely." This is a wonderful transition off the swaddle blanket to a regular blanket.

After seeing this product on Shark Tank, I was interested to try it and see what all the fuss was about. After a couple of nights of teaching my daughter to pick up her pacifier with the blanket over her hand, it was great. My 16 month old daughter had been waking up in the night because she was cold, and had kicked off her blankets. I was having to dress her in several layers of pyjamas to keep her warm. I thought I was really smart putting a sleep sac on her until I woke up in the morning and she was sleeping beside it. This is a great solution to keeping her warm and allowing her to move about her crib.

Pros 

• Absolutely NO Chemicals used in the making  
• Versatile-many uses 
• Easy washing instructions 
• Many cute patterns and colours 
• Baby can safely stand, roll and crawl while staying warm in their blanket 

Cons

• My daughter had difficulty retrieving pacifier during the night, it took several nights to teacher her how to find it during the middle of the night. 
• A thicker fleece option may be nice in the future to use for camping or colder days in the car seat
