The Ottawa Jazz Festival is extremely pleased to present, for the second year, A Charlie Brown Christmas Concert featuring the Jerry Granelli Trio on Thursday, December 4, 2014 7:00 PM at Dominion-Chalmers United Church, 355 Cooper Street.
Featuring excerpts from the Emmy Award-Winning Television Classic, with the soundtrack performed by the Jerry Granelli Trio: Jerry Granelli – drums; Simon Fisk – bass and Chris Gestrin – piano.
His tunes have been a part of Christmas tradition for North American families for the past forty-five years, close as an old friend, comfortable as an old blanket. Jerry Granelli, as one third of the legendary San Francisco-based Vince Guaraldi Trio recorded what is arguably the greatest Christmas album of all time in 1965 – the soundtrack to the animated classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas”.
Granelli and his band will be joined on stage with a local youth choir, the Cross Town Youth Chorus.
