Come celebrate Ottawa’s 10th annual Japanese Summer Festival on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Marion Dewar Plaza!
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, JETAA Ottawa is teaming up with the City of Ottawa to hold the festival at Ottawa City Hall in the heart of Ottawa rain or shine. Enjoy traditional and contemporary Japanese-Canadian performances and demonstrations, including martial arts, shamisen, ikebana flower arrangements, Japanese calligraphy, crafts, and displays. For the adventurous, sumo suits will be available for a small donation and those looking for a taste of Japan, can try Japanese-inspired hot dogs or “JETAA dogs” for free! This festival caters to all ages and for the children, come check out the children’s tent, balloon animals, and face painting.
