Fireflies: An evening in Gatineau Park
Come to the Park, and join François Génier, Manager of the Insect Collection at the Canadian Museum of Nature, and find out more about this fascinating insect. They’re not flies and they’re not on fire! So, what are they?
The evening will start with an indoor presentation, followed by a stroll outside to a nearby site to hunt for live fireflies.
A bug net hat and a headlamp or flashlight are recommended. Please avoid using insect repellent, so as not to repel the fireflies.
